John Dobill

	John Dobill, 90, of 513 S. Royal Street, Royalton, Illinois died at 9:17 p.m., Saturday, June 26, 2004 at Herrin Hospital.
	John was born in Royalton, Illinois March 18, 1914 to  Michael and Stella (Dvarzeski) Dobill.
	He married Lena Possanza January 28, 1939 in  Royalton.  She preceded him in death February 16,  2003.
	He is survived by a daughter, Lana Marie Dobill, two  sons and daughters-in-law, John M. and Rita Dobill and  David H. and Dixie Dobill all of Royalton; four grandchildren, Dustin Dobill of Royalton, Shari Dobill of LeRoy, David and Bobbie Dobill of Bloomington and Dan and Kathy Dobill of
Ames, Iowa; four great grandchildren, Matthew, Angela, Alexandria and Celeste Dobill; a sister- in-law, Ann Dobill of Downers Grove and several nieces and nephews.
	His parents, two grandsons, Daryl and Mark Allen Dobill and a brother, Pete Dobill and a sister and brother-in-law, Joe and Ann (Dobill) Kadlubiak also preceded him in death.
	John was a member of the St. Aloysius Catholic Church; Senior Citizens in Royalton and was a resident of the Shawnee Christian Nursing Center in Herrin for the past four years.  He was an avid fisherman, hunter and gardener.  He retired from Allen Industries in Herrin in 1979.
	A funeral mass for Mr. Dobill was held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 29, 2004 at the St. Aloysius Church in Royalton with Father Peter Hsu officiating.  Burial was at St. Aloysius Cemetery east of Royalton.
	Visiting hours were from 6 to 9:00 p.m., Monday at Vantrease Funeral Home in Royalton where a rosary prayer service will be held at 7:00 p.m.
	Memorial contributions in memory of Mr. Dobill may be made to the St. Aloysius Church, the Alzheimer's Association of Southern Illinois or the donors' choice of charities.
